hello.
thought i write an entry before i go off to ion again to finish up some work. the weeks leading up to youth camp 2010 and eurotrip with friend is just so stressful. since the trip is about 6 weeks long, i have been working hard to finish up all my publicity responsibilities at church and also to work 3 months worth of salary (since the last month was dry due to reservice). well it is a week more to youth camp 2010 and i have about most things 65% done. my list of 12 to-dos are now at 5 – the brain has been so cramped up with job tasks and i have been sleeping 2 hours daily for the past week. but! today is a good day. it is monday and i went back early yesterday, napped for 4 hours, ate some food and slept another 6 hours. this week has a good start.
last saturday, TheEDGE held a dance competition and sisters danced. i was the judge and it was awesome being that. i think i live on cheap thrills like these. they announced me as 'Mr. Shawn' while Keh got a 'Brother Keh' hahahah tuckwah was there that day, he just came out from his 2 weeks confinement. nice and i are really happy to see him. we miss him so much. nicholas says he is going in to the army on 14 sept though. :/ oh well, that's sooner or later anyway.
weesiang and i had another coffee session at starbucks@thomson and we discussed about important issues (well, issues important to us anyway) talked about living abroad again and the 'study issue'. i blabbered about london and he went off about germany. his mom says we are going through a 'grass is greener on the other side' stage in life. sometimes i wonder how far am i willing to go on my pursuit for happiness. i mean i just can't help but think that when i get something that i want, there will be another thing that is better. i think about london and i think about cobblestones and nice pastries and good rainy weather. i think about new interesting people and art and clothes. i have painted a fairly good quality of life. but how long will it take for me to hunger for another? no idea. maybe the problem lies in me. maybe i have to learn to be content with what i have. in the pursuit of happiness, we put off content. but if we pursue being content, we learn happiness. but then comes the annoying question that tags along that phrase: then what if that will really be what you need? haha, weesiang and i debated for a bit, but found no conclusion. maybe in our last meeting this week (he is sailing off and will be gone for a year) we will have some kind of conclusion.
well, have to go now. work calls. hopefully in my next entry, i will be in london :)
